fountainInstalling the Text

$25,000 Award

Installing the Text will position the original play, SRO: Single Room Occupancy by Michael Kennedy, into a site-specific set specifically designed by residents of single room occupancy dwellings in Vancouver’s downtown eastside and professional theatre designers. This is a different model of making theatre that produces a sense of belonging by co-creating art that is spiritually, intellectually and artistically relevant to those making it and to the wider community. This is a collaborative project with The Aboriginal Front Door Society.
